Design Fundamentals
With the CalArts Graphic Design course for fundamentals I deepened my knowledge about how to explore and investigate visual representation through a range of image-making techniques.
I worked with shape, color, and patterns as well as language and typography. I also operated with principles of composition and visual contrast.
Shape
For the first submission I chose 10 of my different knife variants which I had created with different techniques during the week.
Typography
In the second week I worked with typography. For the submission I had to chose 4 out of my many different knife variants.
Contrasts
Over the last two weeks I investigated forms and contrasts. I did different submissions. For this site I chose one.
Optional Tasks
In this course were many optional tasks. One I really enjoyed was the creating of business cards. I attached my submisson for this creative creation of my own.
